## One-line description

## Boilerplate (longer)

Faction is a privacy-first communication platform built on a zero-trust-server model. Server channels are encrypted with MLS (RFC 9420), 1:1 direct messages with the Signal Protocol, voice and video with SFrame keyed from the MLS group exporter, and password login uses OPAQUE PAKE (RFC 9497) so the server never sees a plaintext password. Plugin channels and webhook-posted messages are explicitly non-E2EE and labelled in the UI as such — the trust boundary is visible at point of use. Faction Community, LLC is a small North Carolina LLC; the product is source-available under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 so privacy claims can be independently verified.
